Unique Golf Shop is a family owned business started by Tom Wichert in January of 1994. We are the first store in the metropolitan area to use the concept of selling both new and used golf equipment. This used/trade-in idea, unique to the golf industry, was brought to Babylon Village by Tom and has been retold in stories published in Newsday (June 99) and Long Island Golfer Magazine (Jan. 99).

As a family owned business, we are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality of customer service and professionalism from either Tom, his son Jim, or one of our salesmen. All of our salesmen incidentally, were customers first and liked the store so much they were hired to help other golf enthusiast in selecting the right golf club for them. In August of 2002 Unique Golf Shop opened a full repair shop and we are proud to have Tom Murray, formerly of Golfers Edge in Deer Park, as our full time repair specialist.

In the Spring of 2009 Unique Golf opened a Total Golf Club Fitting Center at the Oakdale Driving Range in Oakdale, N.Y. We have invested over twenty thousand dollars in launch monitors and manufacturer fitting carts to make sure that you are getting fit properly. Also we are the only fitting center on the South Shore at an outdoor facility so you can see your ball flight. No gimmicky golf screens or incorrect feedback from an indoor monitor that leave you with buyers remorse once you actually get to see your ball flight. Seeing is believing!!! we are open for fittings from April 1st. through October 15th. Get fit like the pros in this one of a kind fitting experience. And remember, Unique Golf Shop is still the only golf store that will offer you both a credit and a cash price for your new or used golf clubs

Finally, we here at Unique Golf Shop are also committed to our community and the game of golf.
